Dive Instructor/Crew Member

Our active PADI scuba instructor/divemasters are pleasant, upbeat and enjoy interacting with customers. Must have a minimum dive master certification. Instructor/crew members guide certified divers in the AM at Molokini, Molokini Backwall, Lanai, Molokai and coastal Maui. They also act as boat crew and assist in the maintenance of the boats. In addition, PM charters include open water students, Discover Scuba divers and certified divers. Duties may also include teaching full open water classes from the beach and helping out in the retail store from time to time.

Retail/Charter Booking Staff

Have retail experience and an interest in scuba diving? Lahaina Divers Charter/Booking staff do a mixture of traditional retail duties and charter support, including taking reservations on the phone and in-store, managing rosters and communicating with the boats when they are out on charter. This is a possible developmental position to become either a dive master or scuba instructor and work on our boats as an instructor/guide if that is your goal.

Dive Boat Captain

Desireable qualities for our Captains are those that are customer service oriented, upbeat and professional. A current USCG 50+ ton boat captain license is required. For insurance purposes, Captains must have a Divemaster or higher scuba certification. Captains also participate in the maintenance of vessels.

Captains operate two 46-foot Newton Dive Special boats out of Lahaina Harbor to a variety of locations around Maui County. Morning charters operate to Lanai, Molokini Crater, Molokai and the Backwall of Molokini. Afternoon charters are normally kept to local dive sites along the West Maui coastline.

Lahaina Divers runs charters 365 days a year. Overtime is paid over 40 hours per week. Benefits include health insurance, dive insurance and a 401K program. Pre-employment and random drug tests conducted.
