A Nitrox certification helps you get more out of your time underwater! More bottom time, more safety, and more fun! The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) diver course teaches you how to dive with Nitrox, to use an oxygen analyzer, and to set your dive computer for enriched air dives.

Using Nitrox means the gas you are breathing from your tank has less nitrogen than regular air.

This has several benefits including:

  • Longer no-decompression limits and shorter surface intervals — especially on repetitive dives.
  • Reduced risk of DCS (decompression sickness) compared to making the same series of dives using air.
  • Further benefits may include improved gas consumption, reduced fatigue and an overall feeling of wellbeing.
  • Getting the most out of your dive computer. Most dive computers are capable of tracking exposure to both air and Nitrox. Don’t you want to take advantage of your computer’s capabilities?
